PremieringinChinalastNovemberfor“DestroyedLines”,BeatKuertisanartistwhoserecentworksuggestthecinema:thenewlarge-scalephotographiesbasedonliveperformancerepresentthemovementslikepictureinwhichcolors,actions,femalebodiesmergewithoutend.Videosandphotographiesaredarkandmysterious,scaryandsensual.Onthisoccasion,Kuertwillexhibithismostrecentserieentitled“Movingearth”(2009).Theartistsituateshisartworksinthetensionbetweenrealandaccidenttoturnthefactsinapicturethatshowstheweaknessofthehumanbeingsandtheearthwhogiveliveandbringsdeath.Kuertphotographsthechaosofmovingearthshowinghissymboliccontent.TheprocessoftrasforminganaturalmovementinamatteroftheabstractionthroughtheprismofcolorcreatesthemagicalandinteriorworldofKuert.BeatKuert(b1946)hasexhibitedinternationally,includingsoloshowsas“Infinity//digitalexpressionism”atIrisSchuhmacherGalerie,Berlin(2009);“DestroyedLines”atYuanfenGallery,Beijing(2008)andImagineGallery,Beijing(2008);“DonnaCarnivora”,GalleriaRavagnan,Venice(2007).ForthcomingexhbitionsincludethegalleriesS+GArteContemporanea,Berlin(October2009),Communic’art,Paris(January2010),GalleryMiyoul,Seoul(February2010).
