YUI画廊：131EldridgeSt,NewYork,10002日光，2019，布面综合材料，20x25厘米YUI画廊很荣幸地在2020年推出首场旅居在纽约的王大卫个展——日|光。此次展览是YUI画廊为其举办的第三场展个展。生活在城市中，艺术家经常会看见一些沉浸在某种状态中的人。他们也许静坐，或是走神，因为进入某种放松的状态而忘我。这些瞬间都带给王大卫某种陌生而又熟悉的体验。陌生人由于放松而和城市环境融为一体，让从小在城市长大同时又身处异国的创作者感到熟悉和亲切；与此同时，由于不必知道他们在想什么，或者因为什么而沉浸，这未知的部分又为他的幻想留下了空间。岛，2019，布面综合材料，147x177.5厘米艺术家使用水溶性媒介，如水墨，丙烯，水溶油画颜料等兼具有可控性和偶然性的材料，通过调节其特性之间的平衡，得以营造现实和想象，冲突和融合。比如在此次展览中的“日蚀”，人们在草地上，也许是在等待着数年一次的日全食，也许他们只是不知情的发呆，但这并没有什么不同。这一刻看上去他们像是漂浮在梦境里，但又不是，他们还是在草地上。作品“岛”描绘的是曼哈顿市中心的一个地标性公园，随着橙衣人步入草坪，作为观者也被带入这个充满着休憩氛围的绿洲。远处深灰建筑周围萦绕着一圈东方式的云雾，艺术家在画中构建了一处半封闭的所在，这一切似乎是梦境但又同现实有着一线联系。如同王大卫自己描述“我的创作过程就是捕捉，回味这些放松而真实的瞬间，继而通过绘画再现我的印象。”王大卫，1984年生于上海，2015年毕业于上海师范大学美术学院MFA，现生活于纽约。曾参与非青计划新生代艺术群展，上海当代艺术馆《寓意非/现实》动漫美学双年展，非青计划自言自语群展，非青计划《我们身边的人》个展，《上海经，山海经》双个展，《孤独者》个展，纽约YUI画廊个展《城市之诗》，以及上海国际当代艺术博览会，ART021，艺术登陆新加坡博览会和洛杉矶艺博会等。日光，2019，布面综合材料，33x50.5厘米日光，2018，布面综合材料，20x25厘米日蚀，2018，布面综合材料，76x91厘米橄榄球和日光浴，2018，布面综合材料，76x91厘米​日光，2018，布面综合材料，76x91厘米
